This was the first Korean Movie I watched. And still remains to be one of my favorite. This film marked my entry to a new world of movies, that is, the Korean romantic films. From this film I began my long journey to the Korean film world (The journey that still hasn't ended and I'm watching more and more films). :- )
My little Bride is a cute and innocent story of a 16 year old school girl Buana.Buana was just a normal high school girl, till her grandfather declares that she should get married to her childhood friend (older than her) Sangmin. Apparently Sangmin's grandfather and Buana's grandfather who were friends made a promise that they will marry of their kids, but they got both boys. Now grandpa want to continue the promise with his grand children and want to see Buana and Sangmin married before he dies.Although both Buana and Sangmin are not prepared for marriage, they are emotionally blackmailed by the grandpa and they get married. But Buana hides this fact from her school mates and even bunks honeymoon and goes and hangs out in school where she happen to meet a baseball player of their school team when she had a crush on for a long time, and when he ask her she agrees to date him. Buana's life goes on as usual, without any change other than she lives with Sangmin now, but she still go to school, behaves childishly and, goes on date with the baseball player. Sangmin is a bit disturbed when he comes to know about this dating thing. But later when Sangmin has to do an internship in a school to get his college degree and his senior assigns him Buana's school, both him and Buana are in a fix trying to hide their secret.
