This film is about friendship, romance and the lovely days of your college. This film was special because not many films on youth and collage release in India, or especially in south India. Plus this film really brought out the aspects of friendship and collage life in a refreshing and real way. Left a smile on everyone.
The film was originally made in South Indian language -Telungu. There are remakes of this film in other south Indian languages like Kanada and Tamil. And a dub version is there in Malayalam language. In short, this film was a sensation among youth of South India.
And with a good reason too. This film touches you in a sweet way. And is really sweet to watch. You will be reminded of your best friends while you watch this, and the days of your school and collage. The little fights, the crushes and raging and all other things.
Story Synopsis : On the first day of an Engineering College, a bunch of youngsters meet. They are Chandrashekhar (Or Chandu), Madhu, Arjun, Rajesh, Aparna (Appu), Shankar and Sangeetha.
Chandu is attracted to beautiful Madhu from the first day. The tomboy Appu and and Rajesh, who like to run behind girls becomes friends fast enough.
Arjun get a nick-name 'Tyson' on the first day of the collage from seniors during ragging, but that doesn't even affect genius by nature Arjun(Tyson from now on) and his eyes are on a senior student - Shravanthi whos boyfriend was ragging him. The fact that she has a boyfriend doesn't even bother him.
Mean while, Shankar seems to be a bit selfish than the rest. And The girl Sangeetha is just paying around with him, and he doesn't realise that and falls for that girl.
Chadu's love for Madhu is going on increasing. But since she is a friend, he is hesitated to admit it to her. Even Mdhu likes Chandu, but doesn't admit it.
And then, Rajesh fall for the English teacher Ms. Shreya. Appu being his best friend helps him and all.
Tyson tries all his luck to get Shravanthi to notice him and like him. And in that the juniors and seniors in the collage get in to fights and contests. Also Shravanthi breaks up with her boyfriend because he makes a bet on her. But she still doesn't accept Tyson.
But soon that all settles and the batch moves to second year.They team all go to a picnic to the beach, where they have a lot of fun, and at the end, the rest of them sees Shankar and Sangeetha kiss.
After coming home, Chandu and Madhu has a study session at Madhu's home, in where Madhu notice Chandu to be distracted. She ask him what is the matter, he tells her that 'after seeing that kiss at picnic we all are distracted, and you were looking so pretty that I just felt like kissing you'. And this sentence is heard by Madhu's dad who gets concerned.
In this matter, Madhu gets mad at Chandu, and they fight and their friendship breaks up.
Around this time, Ms. Shreya leaves college. But Rajesh gets a crush on a junior girl. And Appu who was helping him with Ms. Shreya suddenly feel possessive and always fight with him. And Rajesh is confused what the hell is got in to her. In fact he doesn't even consider her to be a girl, because she is a tomboy and his best friend.
Tyson is still trying to make Shraventhi accept her love for him. But she just want to stay friends...
Even when Shankar was always causing problems, and even when Tyson tells him that Sangeetha is just using him, he tells then so is his Shravanthi. On this they fight... And Shankar helps Sangeetha's brothers to beat up Tyson (for Tyson supposedly told bad things about Sangeetha).
Chandu and Rajesh takes revenge by attcking back. And like this...Shankar is declared traitor and removed from team.
When Shravanthi comes to visit injured Tyson, she declares that she likes Tyson, but she can't be with him, because she is planning to go to America for higher studies. And she leaves soon.
Tyson is heartbroken, even though he also plans to follow Shravnathi after his course completes and go to America to the same university Shravanthi is going. The heartbroken Tyson ask Chandu and Rajesh who are still in fight with Madhu and Appu, that if the would be able to handle it if the girl leaves them and is with some one else. If someone else is touching her, she is married to some else, can they handle it...
That is when Chandu and Rajesh realise that they have to do anything and everything to get their girls back.
But Chandu is a bit more egoistic to accept failure to his heart. So is Madhu.
In between Shankar finds out about the truth that Sangeetha was just using him to get her assignment done, and has another boyfriend. He comes back, feeling ashamed to even face his friends, especially Tyson. But Tyson and the rest accept him.
Finally the friends has to help stubborn Madhu and Chandu to convey their feelings to each other with some tricks and all.
And finally the team is passing out from the college...
The film ends making you feel nostalgic. you will feel sad if your collage has already ended. We will be like 'why do school and college has to end?Why can't it just go on...?'
So this film will sure bring back your college or school days. And bring back the memories of friendship, love, little fights, and other stuff.
And by the way, the music of this film is just simply awesome.
