Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006) Synopsis
The Ice Age is coming to an end and our odd herd has to make it out of the melting valley before the impending flood makes them sea bait. This spells trouble for proud Diego who has a crippling fear of water. Meanwhile, Manny is relieved he is not the last of his kind when he meets Ellie, a sweet female mammoth. But there’s a catch- she thinks she’s a possum. Love is in the air as our prehistoric family gains some rowdy new members and learns all new ways to stick together.
Movie Review: Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006)
Manny and Ellie.
This film is the second film of the Ice Age franchise. Certainly it has decent improvements in various aspects but the adventure part is not so exciting. However, the animation is beautiful and the story is definitely better so it makes up for it cause when compared to its first film, there are more details and characters are introduced in this sequel.
The unusual herd, expanded.
Last film was about three prehistoric animals and a baby; this film is about variety of herds of prehistoric animals travelling together to migrate to a safer environment to live in with several predators in the way in addition to more fun and humor. That is a huge improvement I'd say and I really liked their character designs.
Scrat ♥
Probably strange but honest, I love the underlying ecological message most, which is the survival of the fittest. And oh, Scrat appears more too!

Favorite Movie Character
I want us to be together because we want to!
This time, it's Manny! He is logical, frank and shrewd, doesn't sugarcoat things much which I adore. He also defended himself as poofie when others call him fat, not easily affected by how other views him. However, Manny also has some kind of trauma; fear of forming a family I think, but overcomes it later in the film and later in the series, becomes a sweet, loving family-man!
(I love Mammoths and it's really nice to watch animated mammoths!)
