Final Tokyo Trip Part 2: Pom Pom Purin Cafe
Friday, April 24, 2015
After enjoying sakura at Shinjuku Gyoen, we went back to Harajuku to go to the Pom Pom Purin cafe at our assigned time (we received a ticket a few hours earlier).
Everything about the cafe was so cute! Pom Pom Purin is one of my favorite Sanrio characters so I loved it!
I ordered the coconut milk chicken curry. It was good but could have used some more spice. I had read online that the food was just ok so I hadn't expected much, so it was actually better than I expected.
The peppers cut into a spoon and fork were so cute!
Jonathan got beef stroganoff. He wasn't thrilled by all the cuteness though so he stabbed it...
Poor Pom Pom Purin... :(
For dessert we shared a mango parfait. Sooooo good! It had mango, whipped cream, cake, pudding, chocolate covered cookie, orange slices, vanilla ice cream, coffee ice cream, and a cherry.
The cafe was soooo kawaii! Even the tray for money was super cute. :)
I would go back again if I still lived in Japan. The food wasn't amazing, but still good. I'm glad that it's a permanent cafe. I've seen pictures of other cute cafes (My Melody and Little Twin Stars!) but they were just for a limited time and I wasn't in Tokyo while they were open. So I was very happy to be able to finally go to a character cafe before leaving Japan.
If you like kawaii stuff I recommend visiting the Pom Pom Purin Cafe!
