About Fleischer Studios
Fleischer Studios, Inc. (now defunct) was an American animation studio based in Broadway, New York, New York, USA. The studio is known for Betty Boop, Koko the Clown, Popeye the Sailor Man, and Superman cartoons during the golden age of Hollywood. Founded by brothers Max and Dave Fleischer; it was the first significant competitor to Walt Disney back in the days. Due to financial issues and personal disputes, the studio was finally absorbed by its parent company Paramount Pictures and had been restructured as Famous Studios.
