View from the bungalow
Sunset
During our stay at Ellaidhoo by Cinnamon we had the chance to try out two types of guest rooms; the Water Bungalow and the Superior Room. Ellaidhoo has a total of 112 guest rooms, and 24 of these rooms are Water Bungalows rooms. The water bungalows are situated on the northwest side of the island right by the Malamathi restaurant and pool.
The bungalows seen from the pool
One Water Bungalow can accommodate up to three travellers (two adults and one child) but is mostly used by couples looking for the ultimate romantic holiday. For us, getting to stay at a water bungalow was a total must for the holiday, and the beautiful water bungalows were one of the reasons we chose to stay at Ellaidhoo in the first place. We were lucky to get water bungalow number 416, which apparently is one of the rooms which offers the best view. Here are some of my photos of the room:
For guests staying at one of the water bungalows dinner will be served at the poolside restaurant Malamathi. This restaurant is slightly smaller than the island's second restaurant, Madi, but is exclusive for water bungalow guests. Since the bungalows are used mostly by couples there are not that many children around and the atmosphere is more relaxed and quiet. The view of the lit-up water bungalows offer a beautiful backdrop for your dinner, and if you have opted for the All-Inclusive alternative you can enjoy some free drinks by the poolside once you’ve finished your meal.
