Industry News: Funimation August 2017 Line-up

Funimation have slowed down with the August line-up, but most importantly we finally have a release date for Shin Godzilla.
The August line-up includes one live-action Japanese film, one limited edition release, one new addition to the catalogue, one title upgraded to Blu-ray, two on-going part releases, and two re-releases.

Not that much in terms of new catalogue titles compared to the previous seasons. We do see a new instalment for the One Piece series and another collection set for Fairy Tail but nothing much. Fruits Basket gets a Blu-ray release after Japan put out one back in November 2016, however it is confirmed to be a QTEC upscale so results are rather mixed. The only big addition this month is literally Shin Godzilla, which is the latest Godzilla film made and handled by Hideaki Anno (the man behind the Evangelion franchise).
Joker Game and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches are apparently planned as a combo pack but they haven't been properly scheduled as of yet.
