To begin on why I join this world, it is all because my one and half year old Sony Ericson Satio is faulty. SHIT and F**K to you Sony Ericson. I have been supporting you since my 2nd phone. Have been supporting you since K500 in year 2004.
I am very happy when I get my Satio for my birthday in year 2009. You can still find the old post here but very fast I start to feel disappointed. Considering this is Sony Ericson first try to use Symbian OS as their phone OS. Problem is expected but the lack of further support such as firmware upgrade to solve it really disappoint me. Also Symbian as a OS that has been in use by Nokia for so many years, I am expecting some real good software around to install and play with but again this is another disappointment. No wonder Iphone capture the heart of smartphone user and Nokia handphone market is slowly losing out.
The only good thing about Satio is the camera which capture photo that is same quality as a normal digital camera.
End of my story for Satio. Now begin my Android experience. After browsing for choice a few days, I find that my choice is really limited. Coz I don't want join the Apple gang. Don't want Nokia that is not Android supporter. Don't want another Sony Ericson (even though their new Arc design is really tempting and nice looking). I hear bad thing about Motorola and HTC. Thus my choice is left with those Korea phone, Samsung and LG. I do not wish to spend another 2000 for a phone, especially since this is my new venture to Android world (Bad experience from Symbian) so Samsung Galaxy Ace that is price below 1000 (RM999 is still below 1000) is my only choice.
In the begin it is quite bad because I do not have any data plan, so finding software in android market is a trouble for me. But after playing with it for a week and bought a WIFI router for my home internet, everything looks good. Software list is vast from useful thing like a torchlight software that let me use the back camera LED as torch light (A really simple thing but Symbian fail to implement. What kind of "smartphone" is that?) to real nice camera program that make use of the processor to create toy camera effect etc. And most important is when I post at Facebook now, it will show "Android". Ya I am a poser and like to showoff. :P
Now left is my Papago software that seems to fail getting the GPS signal. Not sure is because of me or something else.
