Told in a wonderful way of fairy tale, this film makes a lovely worth to watch love story. This one of my most favorite English movies. And Ann Hathaway is my favorite Hollywood star. She is unbeatable. And in Ella Enchanted she is at her best.
Synopsis : Ella lives in a magical Kingdom called Frell. At her birth a Fairly, Lucinda, who is famous for her illogical gifts of magic, puts a charm of obedience on her thinking that it is a good gift for a child. Ella is forced to be obedient through out her life and do whatever who ever says.
When Ella is still a kid her mother dies. Before death her mother tells her not to tell about this gift to any one. And Ella has to obey. Her father is unknown of the gift and only the maid of the house, Mandy , who is also a house hold fairy know about the gift.
Later when Ella gets older, her father re-marries. and the new steps mother and her two daughters are making Ella's life a hell. The elder of the two step-sisters of Ella, Hattie, is a bit evil and finds out about Ella's gift of obedience and use it against her. Ella has no other choice than to do what Hattie says.
Along the way, Ella meets Prince Char whom she fights with, making Prince Char notice her and being interested in her.
One day Ella gets fed up after Hattie cause her to lose her best friend Arieda, and decided to find Lucinda and make her withdraw the spell of obedience form her.
