A film that tells us the somewhat truth about the real world and it's dirty mentality towards non-beautiful persons, in a light-hearted and funny way. Even though everyone says that outer-beauty doesn't matter but in the real world someone who is less pretty or handsome has to struggle a lot survive. The story touched my heart also because I am also slightly plump. And somehow, everyone in the world never accepts fat persons. Either they are a comic character, or a reject. They are not even accepted as human beings, by the rest of the world.
Other than that fact that the story tries to show how looks can change things, and also how a person can change when her circumstances changes, this film is really funny and entertaining.
Story Synopsis : Lee Hanna is a really fat girl. Her part time job is to give phone sex to strangers. She do this because she need money for her dad who is in mental hospital. And coz she says, that job of her doesn't need looks, just needs the voice. And don't think that is her real job. Because her real job is that, she is a singer. In fact, she is the one who sings actually for Ami who is a really popular pop star. Ami just lip syncs.Hanna is in love with Ami and her producer, Sang-jun. He was the one who established her as a singer (voice for Ami).
One day, knowing pretty well that Hanna likes Sang-jun, Ami humiliates Hanna in Sang-jun's birthday party. When Hanna is crying about it in toilet, she accidently overhears Sang-jun and Ami's conversation, where Sang-jun says he doesn't care about Hanna at all and that she is a fat, and that they are tolerating her because they need her.
Hanna goes home and tries to kill herself. But then she fails, and then she goes to her phone sex customer, an established plastic surgeon. She blackmails him for a full body plastic surgery.He agrees by feeling sorry for her.
After the surgery Hanna is transformed to a new person. She exercise and reduce weight.
Then after a year Hanna re-enters Sang-jun's life as Jenny. Sang-jun doesn't even realise it is Hanna and introduce Jenny to the word as a singer.And now does Hanna have a second chance at love with Sang-jun? And slowly Hanna comes to feel that Sang-jun really did care about Hanna, and was just saying bad stuff about her to Ami just to make Ami feel good.
It is really a funny and cute film. If you are also a person who feels that you are not being accepted by the world because you are not good-looking enough, you should definitely see this film.
