More thoughts on Trump becoming POTUS and a message to him

Don't get me wrong, I'm not afraid of Trump becoming president. Contrary to popular belief amongst those uneducated about world issues, Trump as president isn't enough to start World War III or another genocide.
No.
It's WHY Americans voted for Trump that scares me. Obama advocated for change, for hope, for America moving forward and Americans liked the idea of that, explaining his two terms in White House. Compared to Clinton, Trump also had a message that resonated with Americans, which was why they voted for him — that's the scary part.
Yes, America had its fair share of presidents with ideologies that are ludicrous on hindsight; white supremacists (Andrew Johnson, who also believed the Earth was flat), slave owners (most of America's earlier presidents before the legislation was passed down, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe just to name a few), advocators of polygamy (John Tyler).
Notably, none of these presidents were elected as recent as in the 21st century. The belief that a race, gender or even sexuality is far more superior shouldn't be happening because we're in a time where we stand for equality, or so I thought.
The fact that thousands turned up for Trump's presidential rallies, not just listened to how he spoke ill of the minorities, but also saw with their own eyes how he treated the minorities yet cheered and even voted for him.
The fact that more than hundreds of thousands of Americans related to Trump's chauvinistic, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist and racist remarks. The amount of wrong in the statements he made during his campaigns is unbelievable!
Have we forgotten how hard Martin Luther King fought so African Americans could vote? How women were only allowed to vote as recently as 96 years ago? What message are we passing on to the next generation?
That it's okay to divide a country as long as you feed on their insecurities. That instilling fear in citizens and scaring them into voting for you is worth far more than experience in the political scene and proving your ability to lead a country as president.
This was what Trump stood for. This is what we're telling the next generation.
This is the world our kids will be living in.
Dear Donald, please remember #blacklivesmatters, love is love and at the end of the day #lovewins, refugees need a safe haven they can home, and pregnancy is not an inconvenience to employers because your mother also went through nine tough months before she gave birth to a baby who went on to become the 45th president of America.
Dear Donald, if you want to make America great again, please unite its citizens before anything else.
