Japanese New Year dishes / Osechi / Food culture and music

Japanese traditional dishes for New Year season is called Osechi.
We eat these foods until about January 3rd.
I'll introduce some of Osechi.
Datemaki...Sweet omlet of minced white fish meat
Kamaboko...Steamed egg white with minced white fish meat
Kuri-Kinton...Sweet potato and chestnuts
Kuromame...Sweet black beans
Kazunoko...Salted herring roe
Kobumaki...Rolled kelp with fish
Tadukuri...Teriyaki small dried fish
stewed root vegetables,mochi dishes,sea foods and so on.
Generally,Osechi is put into square Japanese lacquered ware. (Jyu-bako)

Namasu...Pickles of thin radish and carrot
I like Namasu very much.
Kuri-Kinton.
Kuromame.
Kazunoko.
Toshi-Koshi Soba...Hot soba noodle for New Year's eve
Some people eat Toshi-Koshi Soba on New Year's day.
Oshiruko/Shiruko/Zenzai...Sweet azuki bean soup with baked mochi.
Mochi is sticky rice cake.
My Osechi is not gorgeous.
Because we are not big family.
Zouni,Ozouni.
Mochi,Daikon radish,carrot,burdock,dried tofu(Kouya-dofu),mitsuba
There are many kinds of Zouni in Japan.
(It is too different in each region)
It depends on one's home town or region.
My Zouni is soy sauce based but in other region,
people eat white-miso based Zouni.
White-miso based Zouni.
Some women have to change taste of Zouni
if husband's Zouni is different.
This is a very famous music of Japan's New Year.
