Sake and Shinto / Necessity of nature worship / Microbe protection

Sake rice wine is gaining popularity all over the world.
However, people don't know about an association between Sake and Shinto as Japanese national religion.
I would say that Sake itself is Shinto.

In official ritual of Shinto shrine, priests dedicate Sake and local foods to nature gods who protect the area.
Because human need to dedicate thank to nature and nature gods who give food to us.
Dedicated Sake to invisible existences is called Omiki or Houken-shu.

Some people put Sake on home shrine,Kamidana
but it is not necessary indeed.
Because water and a pair of plants are the most important in home ritual.
Don't put extra things on your Kamidana.

That green ball is called SUGI-DAMA.(Other interesting photos)
Sugi-dama is made of leaves of Japanese cedar wood.
You can find these items in front of Japanese traditional sake breweries.
New fresh green ball means final process of sake brewing.
 Beginning of squeezing and refining.

Withered brown color Sugi-dama means mature period of sake rice wine.
In Japan,Rice plant is condensed power from the Sun.
The power from the Sun plus Koji-mold = Sake

In Japan, there is an unique fact about Sake brewing or other fermented foods.
If people have a quarrel near the Sake barrel or foods, the fermentation process doesn't go well.
This fact is not a superstition.
As you know, our feeling, thinking and moods depend on bacteria that lives in inside the intestine.
Our regular thinking comes from bacteria of intestine not from brain.
Mental health depends on intestinal flora too.
To keep good bacteria in our body,we have to eat fermented foods.
Processed foods kills good bacteria.
But interestingly enough,we are able to increase number of good bacteria if we have positive thinking.
There is a relationship between good thinking and number of good bacteria.
I mean you can change number of bacteria without fermented foods.
Approach from outside = Eating fermented foods
Approach from inside = Thinking positive things
Both approaches are important to have good bacteria.

Human's life is deeply connected with bacteria or slime molds.
Many people still don't know about these importance.
Japanese Shinto shrine is for nature worship.
It is also for bacteria and slime molds of nature.
Whole bacteria = A forest

Some people think that human is not necessary in the Earth.
Because human destroy nature.
But this stage is not for animal.
You need to know about human's spiritual goal.
Great 19 people / Final destination of rebirth system / Black hair and eyes
Animal is interim figure to create human.
God created human because God wanted to see himself.

Minakata Kumagusu (1867-1941)
He was a great Japanese author and naturalist.
Famous scientist about slime molds.
He seriously protected Japanese forests and Shinto shrines because he already knew about the importance.
And he knew about relationship between pregnancy rate and good bacteria.
In ancient time,Japanese people built countless shrines as a place for nature worship.
Architecture of shrine is not so important.
There are forests, mountains, and trees around the shrine.
These nature are important.
In Japan, nature that locates around shrines were rarely broken.
Because people think that it looks like something sacred.

We are able to cherish nature without shrine architectures.
But we have countless shrines in Japan. Why?

1,Because people are apt to forget about environmental protection.
If we don't have Shinto shrines, future generations especially foreign people may ruin Japanese nature easily.

2,Shinto shrines are good boxes to preserve gratitude feelings from people.
Local nature gods use "condensed thankful feelings" from local people to keep the area.

People live in peace
People visit shrine and dedicate gratitude heart to local nature gods
Local nature gods get power from people to protect the area
People live in peace and endless prosperity
The never ending cycle is Japanese Shinto.

These are nature gods all over the world as long as there is nature around you.
Please think and cherish your neighborhood nature and nature gods.
They always protect your area without thankful heart from people.

Japan has Shinto shrines to dedicate thank regularly.
But there are no special habits and places for nature worship in foreign countries.
So,foreign people always need to dedicate thankful heart to local nature more than Japanese people do.
The act makes your area good.
Kamidana, home shrine for nature gods around you
also protect your area.
The table is not only for Japanese but also for people who can understand
what support and protect behind your back.
