One of the most hit romantic film of Japan. It tells the story of a teenager and the phases she went through in touching way that is quiet easy to relate to and empathise and sympathise.
For people who like Japanese films more than Korean films this one is a sure one to catch.
The English title of the movie is 'Sky of love'.
And I had read somewhere that the story of this movie is based on some real life incidents of a girl.
Story Synopsis : It's Mika's first year of high school. And she expects to find love. Mika is first scared of Hiro who looks like a bad boy with dyed blond hair and ear rings... But soon she becomes girlfriend of Hiro. This is Mika's first relationship, but not Hiro's. She is uncertain about a lot of things. And she thinks Hiro is like a river. He flows and takes everything along with him. And as for now, she as going in that flow... She can't resist it.
But Hiro says he would rather be the sky than the river. But days with Hiiro was not going to be esay on her. They have sex, and Hiro takes his ex's name while sleeping. Then one day Mika gets raped by guys assigned by Hiro's ex-girlfriend. just when she has recovered from that shock from Hiro's help and her parents' support that she gets pregnant with Hiro's baby. Unlike some boyfriends who run for their lives when their girlfriend gets pregnant Hiro decides to take the responsibly and they even tell their parents and all, and Hiro decides to leave school and find a job and all.
But when Hiro's ex-girlfriend pushes Mika down from a step, Mika has a miscarriage. And Hiro and Mika mourns for their lost baby. They make a grave for the kid, and decide to visit it every year.
but shorty after that Hiro's attitude towards Mika changes and he breaks up with her.
Mika moves on..and eventually gets a new boyfriend Yuu. Yuu says if Hiro was like a river, he would be sea for her. He would always come back to her. But even when Yuu is a perfect gentleman and the nicest boyfriend Mika's destiny is with Hiro...Hiro and the sadness that awaits her.
