I wanted to put 'Oye', and 'A Walk to Remember' together. because 'Oye' is some what adapted from 'A Walk to Remember', but has a different approach to it and that is an effective way to approach too.
Story Synopsis : Uday a wealthy young man, whose father just passed away is met with a normal middle class girl who is peculiar in many cases - Sandya. Uday falls for Sandhya at once, but asking around in her neighbourhood he knows a lot about her; things like she is punctual, likes to pray a lot, like to eat healthy food only, and the main thing that she hates rich people.
So Uday pretends that he is just a middle class man and comes to live with Sandhya as a paying guest. But then he doesn't get much time with Sandhya alone as Sandhya's friend's 3 daughter's also comes to stay with them for their holidays. And Uday is doing every thing to make his impression on Sandya's mind.It is quiet cute and hilarious, those attempts of him.
Then finally when he get to confess, that too in a really romantic and cute way, with 12 gifts on Sandhya's birthday and him being a 12th gift for her, and finally when she agrees; fate brings Uday down.
Sandhya faints and he takes her to hospital and gets to know that she is about to die of cancer. Now all he can do is to fulfill all her wishers before she dies. And Uday is all ready to take where ever she want and get her all the happiness in this world one could possibly offer, but he keeps the fact of cancer and her unavoidable death as a secret from her and just get her all the fun and happiness.
It's really a sweet and lovely movie to watch.
